What if salvation were not by divine grace through Christ? What if it were rather, as many apostate faiths claim, based upon a tally of works and good deeds? What an unholy, wretched, unjust system that would be-- where a soul could be damned to eternal torment for falling below some unknown arbitrary "line of morality" by the smallest of infractions!
